How Bad Is It Going to Get?

Confusion and Chastisement

We are living in an age of confusion – perhaps the greatest confusion that the world has ever known. Even the concepts of “man” or “woman” seem to be up for grabs. The question, “Is the Pope Catholic?”, used to be rhetorical, but now people really wonder. So how bad is it going to get before God intervenes directly?

We know from the Bible that during the reign of antichrist things will be so bad that, “unless those days had been shortened, no flesh should be saved.” (Matthew 24:22) We are not yet in the reign of antichrist, however, even if we are approaching the event described in private revelations as the Three Days of Darkness.[1]

No Peace on the Horizon

We are certainly hearing of “wars and rumors of wars” but “the end is not yet.” (Matthew 24:6) The wars in Ukraine and Gaza have dominated the news cycle for the past two years. The war in Ukraine was the only thing that knocked Covid-19 out of the news, which it dominated for the two years before that. One wonders where this is headed. It is most certainly a prefigurement of the reign of antichrist.

Chapter 13 of the Apocalypse of St. John (Revelation) gives a description of certain aspects of the reign of antichrist. Whereas the antichrist is called “the beast,” there is another beast who is also called the false prophet and may be a religious figure or an antipope. People are made to receive a mark/character on their right hand/forehead if they want to buy or sell. It sounds like a totalitarian system (Deep State/Church) putting society under a complete lockdown.

Israel is talking about putting Gaza under a new security system as soon as the war is over. However, this kind of system is already operational in the West Bank. The Red Wolf surveillance system in Hebron[2] tracks and limits the movements of all the Palestinians in that city. The Palestinians in Gaza are about to be given the choice between total destruction and total lockdown. Most will choose total lockdown just in order to survive.

Many people are concerned that either of the situations in Ukraine or Gaza will turn into a nuclear confrontation. Russia, Israel, and the U.S.A. all have nuclear weapons. Russia has already threatened to bomb certain European capitals. An Israeli politician has expressed the desire to use the Jericho missile in Gaza.[3] If any nuclear weapon is actually used, it would be catastrophic. Most people would accept any existence over no existence, so the world is vulnerable to nuclear blackmail.

What Prevents a Tyrannical Future?

China has a social credit system that is linked to facial recognition and is operational in all the major cities of China. These are the “smart cities” of the future. This is the type of control that the World Economic Forum has in mind for the entire world. The Covid-19 lockdowns and mandatory vaccinations were just a test run. The UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development describes other aspects of life under global totalitarianism.[4]

The two biggest obstacles to global government have been the U.S.A. and the Catholic Church. But now, under Joe Biden and Pope Francis, the U.S. government and the benevolent influence of the Church are intentionally being taken down. The U.S. is being destroyed through unlimited immigration and debt, not to mention abortion, divorce, and other societal ills. The Church is being weakened by corrupt leadership and a general loss of faith, or apostasy. With no opposition from the U.S. and the Catholic Church, there seems to be no natural force[5] standing in the way of the antichrist or his forerunner.

But nothing happens that God does not allow. Several prophecies foretell that at some point, a reforming Pope will be appointed in a miraculous way.

Papal Insights from Roman Mystics

Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora (1774-1825) said that on the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul in 1817, St. Peter appeared to her and said that a crisis would develop in the Church, and that it would seem that the Church had disappeared. (This sounds similar to the words of Our Lady of La Salette on Sept. 19, 1846: “The Church will be in eclipse, the world will be in dismay.”)

Bl. Elizabeth foretold that the introduction of disastrous changes would be used in an attempt to demolish the Church, and at the height of the crisis two Popes would reign. The true Pope would die in exile;[6] and after the Chastisement, a holy Pope would be appointed by St. Peter himself and would take the Apostle’s very name. “Peter the Roman” – the phrase used by St. Malachy for the last Pope – would then restore the Church to her primitive glory and would be recognized in every country as the true Vicar of Christ.[7] Supposedly, he would be a cardinal born near Rome.

Blessed Ana Maria Taigi (1769-1837), a contemporary of Blessed Elizabeth Canori Mora, said something similar. She predicted that: “After the three days of darkness, Saints Peter and Paul, having come down from Heaven, will preach throughout the world and designate a new Pope. A great light will flash from their bodies and will settle upon the future Pontiff.”[8]

Resolving Papal Confusion

The version of the Third Secret of Fatima released in 2000 implies that there could be two persons identified as Popes at the same time.[9] Lucia wrote: “… ‘something similar to how people appear in a mirror when they pass in front of it’ a Bishop dressed in White ‘we had the impression that it was the Holy Father’.” [emphasis added] Later in the same message: “… the Holy Father passed through a big city half in ruins … he was killed by a group of soldiers …” In this sentence there is no confusion. Lucia clearly wrote it is the Holy Father.

When you pass in front of a mirror, both you and your reflection are visible to someone who is next to you. As in the message of Bl. Elizabeth, the one identified as the true Pope (the Holy Father) is the one who dies.

The time that would pass between the death of the true Pope and the appointment of “Peter the Roman” was not specified by Bl. Elizabeth. However, in a message given by Marie-Julie Jahenny on September 29, 1882, she said: “The Church will have its seat vacant for long months …” The longest interregnum period experienced by the Church so far has been from November 29, 1268 to September 1, 1271 – almost three years. Given Jahenny’s prediction, one would expect that the period of time between the two Popes in question could be longer than that.

These prophecies also seem to exhibit parallels with St. John Bosco’s dream of the two pillars. St. John Bosco sees the Pope killed. The enemies of the Church rejoice triumphantly. Yet contrary to their expectations, another Pope suddenly takes his place. A Pope being replaced by a successor is the normal course of events, yet the enemies’ self-assurance wanes, implying the succession was unexpected – perhaps even miraculous. St. John Bosco sees this new Pope lead the Church after a time of great distress into a glorious future.[10] This also sounds very much like the “reforming Pope” of other prophecies who will completely restore the Church.[11]

Trust in God and Do Your Part

It may be a bumpy ride until God decides to fix things. So let us cease offending God, amend our lives, and remain in the state of grace. That is, be Roman Catholics, and offer up a plea of help – a Roman Catholic S.O.S. – to Our Lady:

    • Keep praying the Rosary daily;
    • Consecrate (renew) yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and pray for Russia’s Consecration;
    • Always wear your Brown Scapular faithfully;
    • Offer prayers and penance (for the Church, the Pope, many souls), especially the penance of your daily duty and keeping God’s Commandments; and
    • Make reparation through the First Saturday devotion each month!

ENDNOTES:

[1] The Ninth Plague, which devastated Egypt in the time of Moses, is a clear biblical precedent, or type, for such a chastisement. In the inspired and inerrant Scriptures, we read: “And the Lord said to Moses: Stretch out thy hand towards heaven: and may there be darkness upon the land of Egypt, so thick that it may be felt. And Moses stretched forth his hand towards heaven: and there came horrible darkness in all the land of Egypt for three days. No man saw his brother, nor moved himself out of the place where he was: but wheresoever the children of Israel dwelt there was light” (Exodus 10:21-23).
