In the End…

My Immaculate Heart Will Triumph

In the July 13, 1917 apparition at Fatima, Our Lady told Lucia this:

“You have seen hell where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved and there will be peace …”

“To prevent [specified chastisements], I shall come to ask for the Consecration of Russia to My Immaculate Heart, and the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays. If My requests are heeded, Russia will be converted, and there will be peace; if not, she will spread her errors throughout the world, causing wars and persecutions of the Church. The good will be martyred, the Holy Father will have much to suffer, various nations will be annihilated.”

“In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph. The Holy Father will consecrate Russia to Me, and she will be converted, and a period of peace will be granted to the world.”

As Our Lady promised, She returned to request the Consecration of Russia to be done. She made this request as part of a great theophany to Sister Lucia on June 13, 1929 in a convent in Tuy, Spain. Since then, there have been a number of attempted consecrations, but none of them brought about the promised world peace and reign of Our Lady – because none were done in accordance with Our Lady’s specific request.

Russia Is Not Consecrated!

This truth was made that much more obvious on February 24, 2022, when Russia invaded Ukraine. Even an ad hoc poll on social media shows 98% of those polled are aware that Russia has not been consecrated. How utterly preposterous for any Catholic to maintain that Russia is consecrated! Where is the conversion promised by Our Lady? Where is the world peace that She foretold? How could a country in which the Immaculate Heart reigns triumphantly launch a war upon a neighboring country?

So, when is the Vatican going to get serious about world peace and perform the Consecration as requested? We know that it eventually will be done, and Russia will convert to the one true Catholic Faith, but what is it going to take for the Pope to get all the Catholic bishops in the world to do it with him at the same time? It will probably take an existential threat to the Vatican itself. Something like that has happened before.

Will History Be Repeated?

In 452, Attila the Hun approached Rome and encountered Pope Leo the Great, who rode out to meet him. There is a famous painting by Raphael which depicts the meeting. Saints Peter and Paul are shown hovering in the air over Leo and threatening Attila with swords. The Pope asked Attila for mercy on Rome, and Saints Peter and Paul threatened him with death if he did not obey. Attila quickly withdrew without a fight, which he had never done before.

In the 1960’s, communism was a threat to the world, but not necessarily to the Vatican. All the bishops of the world gathered for Vatican II, and so the requested Collegial Consecration could easily have been done then and there. However, Pope John XXIII had agreed with the Russian Orthodox not to criticize communism in return for the presence of two representatives at the Council. Later, John Paul II said that the Third Secret of Fatima was not published in order to avoid provoking “that country” into making certain moves. He omitted mentioning Russia by name in the 1984 consecration, thinking that it might offend the Russian Orthodox.

When Will the Vatican Act?

So now that Vatican II Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, and John Paul II have all been ‘canonized’, anything that would throw a shadow on their legacy would not be welcome. Pope Francis has been especially supportive of communist governments, and so getting him to make a move against communism or seemingly against the Russian Orthodox would certainly require an extreme situation.

Francis has been approached more than once to make the Consecration, and Putin was actually supportive of it at one time. However, the entire Fatima series of apparitions stands in stark contrast to the policies of the Vatican II era. The reality of hell and the possibility of going there – which was the very reason Our Lady said that She was requesting the Consecration – is even questioned by many prelates today.

Catholic Prophecy…

So, until Russian forces are standing at the walls of the Vatican, many think the Consecration of Russia will not be done as requested. However, certain prophecies suggest that will eventually take place. Sister Elena Aliello said that Our Lady revealed this to her: “Russia will march upon all the nations of Europe, particularly Italy, and will raise her flag over the dome of St. Peter’s.”[1] It is a long march from Ukraine to Rome, however, and so it might take some time for that to happen. More and worse chastisements can certainly occur within that timeframe.

Pray and do Penance! That the Consecration of Russia may be performed – very soon!
– Pray the Rosary every day.
– Offer a Communion of Reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary every First Saturday.
– Offer your daily duty and even small sacrifices for this intention.
– Tell others about Our Lady’s Message and Requests at Fatima.

Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us!
