Msgr. Nicola Bux, the respected priest, theologian and liturgist of the Archdiocese of Bari (Italy), has joined the chorus of prominent Catholic voices protesting the lunacy and patently subversive program of the Pan-Amazon synod.
In a recent interview published by the important new “Pan Amazon Synod Watch” website, Msgr. Bux declares (translation mine) that this synod represents “the umpteenth attempt to create another Church, an experiment already tried and failed” — an unmistakable reference to the catastrophic “renewal” of Vatican II.
The participants in the upcoming spectacle in Rome have forgotten, says Bux, that Christ came among men to found a Church for their salvation, not to promote “well-being for all and a better world.” But present-day clerics, he notes, act as if “the earth were the permanent home of man. The symptom? They do not speak of the soul and therefore of his salvation.” The Monsignor continues: “Thus is brought to maturity the crisis in the idea of Church, denounced by Cardinal Ratzinger [then Prefect of the Vatican’s Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith] in his celebrated Report on the Faith” — a document Father Gruner cited often in the context of the probable contents of the Third Secret of Fatima in its entirety. To quote Ratzinger from that document previously published as an interview in Jesus magazine (on November 11, 1984): the Secret concerns “the dangers threatening the faith and the life of the Christian, and therefore the world, and also the importance of the last times.”
The Amazon synod represents the attitude of contemporary churchmen who no longer regard the Church as the “mystical body of Christ and the People of God ordered to salvation, but a sociological phenomenon; thus it must be occupied with economy, ecology and politics…” In response to the neo-Modernist bromide that the Church must “change with the times,” Bux replies: “Who has decided that the times have changed. And then: is change always good?”
Msgr. Bux sees in the Instrumentum Laboris for the synod nothing less than a “turning back to natural religion, to spiritism… to dialogue with nature” rather than seeking communion with God. It seems, he concludes, that “it must be Christ who converts himself to the Amazonian neo-divinity. But is this ‘the Catholic Faith transmitted by the Apostles’ as the Roman Canon prays?”
How the enlightened, respectable, mainstream Catholic voices laughed at Father Gruner, mocking him as an “alarmist” and a “Fatimite” because of his constant warnings, in light of the Third Secret, that apostasy was spreading to the highest levels of the Church.
