100th Anniversary Pilgrimage

For an 11-day Pilgrimage visiting the sites where Our Lady appeared and other special Catholic places in Portugal and Spain. This Spiritual and Historic Pilgrimage to Fatima & Spain is in commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s Apparitions. Daily Mass at a variety of locations. Visit Catholic Shrines, Churches and Cathedrals in Lisbon, Fatima, Aljustrel, Batahlia, Coimbra, the Eucharistic Miracle in Santarem and more, with Marian Priest Father Michael E. Rodriguez.

FATIMA Pilgrimage Itinerary

Wednesday, July 12
Depart from North America – New York or Toronto.

Thursday, July 13
Arrival in Lisbon.
Bus from airport to Tomar (30 minutes from Fatima).
Check into Hotel dos Templarios.
Bus in evening to Fatima Shrine for candlelight procession.
Back to Hotel in Tomar overnight stay.

Friday, July 14
Tour of Tomar; including guided visit to the Convent of Christ. 
Bus to Fatima.
Check into Hotel Estrela de Fatima.
Visit Fatima Sanctuary – including the Capelhina (Chapel built on the site where Our Lady appeared to the children six different times), visit the Old Basilica where the tombs of Blessed Jacinta, Blessed Francisco and Sister Lucy are, the chapel with exposition of Blessed Sacrament.
Evening candlelight procession at the Fatima Shrine.

Saturday, July 15
Visit the Fatima Village Church where the children were baptized, and the cemetery where Jacinta and Francisco were originally buried.
Visit Aljustrel to see the homes where the three children grew up; Arneiro Well (Angel’s Well) belonging to house of Lucia’s family where the 2nd apparition of the Angel occurred; Valinhos Hamlet where Our Lady appeared in August, 1917 and Way of the Cross and Calvary – Valinhos, Fatima; Cabeço where the angel appeared for the 3rd time.
The city of Ourem where the three children were imprisoned and Blessed Jacinta was hospitalized.

Sunday, July 16
Visit Batalha at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory, also known as Batalha Dominican monastery with its beautiful and renowned chapels.
If time permits, we will visit Alcobaça Monastery, one of the first foundations of the Cistercian Order in Portugal. Founded in 1153 as a gift to Saint Bernard of Clairvaux, from the first Portuguese King, Afonso Henriques to commemorate his victory over the Moors at Santarem in 1147.
We will also visit Nazare if time permits at the Santuario de Nossa Senhora da Nazare.

Monday, July 17
Visit Santarem – Site of Eucharistic Miracle of Bleeding Host.
Then off to Lisbon where we will visit the Birthplace of Saint Anthony.
Next onto Jeronimos Monastery (Belem) which is perhaps the most prominent monastery in Lisbon and Madre de Deus Church, one of the most beautiful churches in the world.

Tuesday, July 18
Hotel check out and farewell to Fatima. We will visit Coimbra – Carmelite Convent where Sister Lucy was a Carmelite nun until her death in 2005.
Next, we will visit Viana Do Castelo at the shrine of Santa Lucia, patron saint of eye problems.
We will then travel to Tuy Spain (in Galicia) where we will check into Hotel Alfonso.

Wednesday, July 19
Visit Convent in Tuy Spain where Sister Lucy received the vision of Our Lady and the Most Holy Trinity commanding the Consecration of Russia, and where she wrote the words Our Lady spoke in the Third Secret.
Next, we will visit Pontevedra where Our Lady and the Child Jesus appeared and spoke to Sister Lucy of Fatima asking for the Communion of Reparation on the First Saturdays, and where the Child Jesus spoke to Sister Lucy on two occasions.

Thursday, July 20
Visit to Cathedral in Tuy that dates back to the 13th century where we will tour the Cathedral.
We will then travel to Rianjo to see the Chapel where Our Lord prophesied to Sister Lucy the danger of death facing our bishops today because Russia has not been consecrated to the Immaculate Heart. “Make it known to my  ministers.”…
Bus to Santiago de Compostela. Overnight in Santiago.

Friday, July 21
Visit the Tomb of Saint James in the magnificent 1,000-year-old Cathedral.
Back to Tuy, overnight stay.

Saturday, July 22
Visit Sanctuary of Bom Jesus do Monte in Tenoes, near Braga; Porto for flight home.
