We thank and honor Our Lady for Her second apparition at Fatima, 102 years ago today, on June 13, 1917. May our Heavenly Queen’s gracious Message — on which the preservation of our lives (and possibly our souls) depends! — very soon be given the advertence and obedience which it deserves.
Today is also the anniversary of Our Lady of Fatima’s request for the Consecration of Russia. Ninety (90!) years have passed since that great “moment” chosen by Heaven, on June 13, 1929, “in which God ask[ed] the Holy Father to make, and to order that in union with him and at the same time, all the bishops of the world make the consecration of Russia to [Our Lady’s] Immaculate Heart.”
During all these years of unprecedented sin and bloodshed and human misery, Our Lady has awaited this Consecration of Russia to Her Immaculate Heart, while Her warning to the world in an apparition to Sister Lucy in 1952 has proven all-too true: “Without the Consecration, Russia will not be able to convert, nor can the world have peace.”
Let us take heed of Our Lady’s admonition to Sister Lucy — “Sacrifice yourself for this intention, and pray!” — and make, as the fervent intention of all our prayers and sacrifices today, the hastening of the promised Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary through the speedy fulfillment of Heaven’s request for the Consecration of Russia.
