St. Didacus, born in Sprain, was a holy lay-brother of the Order of St. Francis. He led a life perfect in the observance of the vows of poverty, Chasity, and obedience.
He died in the order of sanctity in 1463; and was canonized a hundred years later by St. Pius V.
