Conformity to the Will of God – Twenty-Sixth Day of December
Conformity to the Will of God.
“Not my will, but Thine be done.” — St. Matt. 36:39
Always endeavor to live in the presence of God by an entire abandonment of yourself to His divine will; and whenever you find your mind inclined to wander from this peaceful state, hasten to recall it, though in a quiet manner. — Bl. Henry Suzo.
St. Jane Frances was naturally of a lively disposition. In order to repress her natural vivacity she wrote some acts of love, faith, hope, offerings, requests, etc., etc., and placed the paper upon which they were written on her breast over her heart. She mad a compact with God that every time she placed her hand over the paper, either night or day, it expressed her intention to perform all the acts contained therein.
My God, I desire to think always of Thee, and to say that I love Thee. Every time I breathe, let It be an aspiration which says, I love Thee.
