Chastisements: A Blessing or Curse? by Father Isaac Mary Relyea (COVID-19 Response)
You can also find these talks on our podcast here!
Fr. Isaac explains the role of chastisements in our good God’s merciful plan to help save His people. While they are a punishment, they are more profoundly a blessing – because they are a call for us to abandon our sinful ways and return to Him; to repent and convert. Thus, we can cooperate with His grace to save our soul! Yes the coronavirus is such a chastisement and if men do not amend their lives, we should expect more – and even worse – chastisements.. Our nation, our society, and our Church have many sins to atone for. Father also clarifies what is the proper Catholic response to COVID-19 (or any chastisement) and explains the spiritual weapons we need in this time.
