Your Awesome Act of Consecration
to the Immaculate Heart of Mary

by Father Paul Trinchard, S.T.L.

In his most recent book — The Awesome Fatima Consecrations Father Paul Trinchard explains the urgent necessity that we all have of two Most Important Fatima Consecrations. That is, the Consecration of ourselves, and the Solemn and Public Consecration by the Pope and all the Catholic Bishops of specifically Russia to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

In this extract of his book, given below, he reflects on your very important personal consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in the light of this truly prophetic Fatima Message. Let us read with lively faith and devotion his inspiring reflections.

Indeed, the Marian Consecration Prayer or Act of Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary is awesome. It concerns your eternal life.

If properly done and lived, it will bring you to eternal joy in Heaven. Also, on earth, as you die to your flesh and the world you will die happily or blessedly (as in the eight beatitudes), and you will live as you should.

Part four contains four chapters. First, the introduction presents ten major considerations which serve as a background for your personal consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Then, some pertinent FATIMA REFLECTIONS are given for you to pray about and "make your own" as convictions or abiding personal convicting awarenesses (PCAs).

Finally, three Consecration prayers will be presented — a general one, a "weekly" one and a "daily" one. The general consecration prayer "comes from" the Pope's Marian consecration prayers of 1982 and 1984, as well as from Fatima's challenges.

The "weekly" consecration prayer (which can be prayed on Friday or Saturday of each week) is based on a meditative praying of the Five Sorrowful Mysteries of the Rosary (it is also the type of meditative praying that Our Lady of Fatima requested for the "five first Saturdays of Reparation"). The "daily" consecration prayer is a strong reminder of what it really means to be consecrated to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. All of these prayers express your awesome personal Fatima consecration.

Read and pray this part often. It is the "personal heart" of this book.

Father Nicholas Gruner offers the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass for our pilgrims at Covadunga in Northern Spain. In this Sacred Cove, the Catholic crusaders started the reconquest of Spain and Portugal around 712 A.D. Although they were completely surrounded and greatly outnumbered these Christian Knights, under the special protection of Our Lady, won a great victory for Jesus Christ and Christian civilization. Today the true followers of Jesus Christ are completely surrounded and outnumbered as can be seen by other reports in this issue. Let us be undaunted. Under the protection of the Holy Mother of God, particularly through our personal consecration to Our Lady's Immaculate Heart, we shall be victorious as She promised at Fatima.

Introduction to Consecration

In order to properly and profitably consecrate yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray about these ten major considerations (you also may wish to reconsider part two).

1. The message of Fatima was given by God through Our Lady of Fatima to help you to realize and "live-convinced" that you are a sinner by birth (original sin), by inclination (original and actual sin), in deed and in habit. Without Christ, you cannot be saved. You will go to Hell forever (provided, of course, you have reached the age of accountability).

2. The message of Fatima was given by God through Our Lady of Fatima to help you to realize and "live convinced" that Hell is the only and ultimate evil — the evil far worse ... indefinitely worse than you could ever imagine it to be and the evil which lasts FOREVER.

3. The message of Fatima was given by God through Our Lady of Fatima, to help you to realize and "live convinced" that Hell is possible for you. "Many living today will be in Hell forever" — Our Lady of Fatima. Unrepented or insufficiently repented mortal sin will bring you to an eternal Hell.

4. Therefore, Our Lady of Fatima wants you to realize and "live convinced" that the goal of your life is to save your soul from the eternal torments of Hell.

5. Also, living in true charity, you are to "live convinced" that what "hurts" God, the Sacred Heart and the Immaculate Heart are SINS. You can make reparation to God, Jesus and Mary for your sins and the sins of others.

You can save souls (and their bodies) from eternal Hell by your prayers and sacrifices (Col. 1:24). You can save yourself and others. You can "console" Jesus and Mary. Here is charity, true charity!

6. HOW do you "conquer" your "natural" state of estrangement from God or your "natural" tendency to live in SIN, even mortal sin? (The real Council of Trent solemnly stated that one cannot live without falling into mortal sin without the special help of God*). You conquer your "natural" state by CONSECRATION in word and in deed.

7. Christ is THE CONSECRATOR. He is the One and Only One through, with and in whom you can become holy, sanctified or just (acceptable to God). He sanctified Mary and through Mary, He can sanctify you.

8. Christ offers you the New and Eternal Covenant in His Blood (which is "re-presented" at each Mass in an "unbloody" manner). Through this Covenant Christ is among us — Christ wishes to dwell in you, to bring you into Holy Communion with Him: NOW, in time; and, FOREVER, "in eternity."

He wants you to come to live, not you, but Him in you (Gal. 2:20). He wants you to accept Him fully — to be consecrated to Him so as to be transformed (Rom. 12:2) and to live, not you, but Christ in you (Gal. 2:20).

9. In these end-times, especially, Christ wants your consecration to be to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and thus to Him or to Him through the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Only in this way will you receive GRACE AND MERCY to live as consecrated and to be restored to such living should you "fall into sin." Indeed, GRACE AND MERCY was the initial message of the angel of Fatima and the message in the last great revelation at Tuy (the vision of the "Trinity, Crucifixion and the Immaculate Heart of Mary at the Mass altar of sacrifice and Holy Communion").

10. Do you want to freely and fully consecrate yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary [to desire to become (and to become) holy "with" or by Christ through Mary]? Remember, consecration is a lifetime sacrifice —making (facere) holy (sacrum) — accomplished by the mysterious combination of God's grace and your free will.

Before you consecrate yourself to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, reflect on some pertinent messages from Fatima. Reflect on these selected messages in the light of the ten observations we have just made.

These selected messages emanate from Fatima. Become totally convinced that they are personally relevant God-given truth. Meditate on these words from Fatima — from Jesus Christ, the Blessed Virgin Mary, the angel of Fatima and the real Sister Lucy THE Marian Seer of our day.

*"If anyone says that without God's special help it is possible for a justified man to persevere in the justice he has received, or says that with God's special help it is impossible; let him be Anathema." (Canon 22 of the Decree on Justification ... The Council of Trent).

Fatima Reflections

There follows selected Fatima reflections. Let these come alive for you:

A. Hell Exists as a Real Possibility

SIN is the only and ultimate evil. Why? Unrepented or insufficiently repented mortal sin will bring any and every human being to ETERNAL HELL.

"You have seen Hell where the souls of poor sinners go. In order to save them, God wishes to establish in the world, devotion to My Immaculate Heart. If what I say to you is done, many souls will be saved ..." — Our Lady of Fatima.

The Fatima Vision of Hell:

Lucy writes:

"Our Lady opened Her hands once more, as She had done during the two previous months. The rays of light seemed to penetrate the earth, and we saw as it were an ocean of fire.

"Plunged in this fire were demons and souls in human form, like transparent burning embers, all blackened or burnished bronze, floating about in the conflagration, now raised into the air by the flames that issued from within themselves together with great clouds of smoke, now falling back on every side like sparks in a huge fire, without weight or equilibrium, and amid shrieks and groans of pain and despair, which horrified us and made us tremble with fear. The demons could be distinguished by their terrifying and repellent likeness to frightful and unknown animals, all black and transparent".

"This vision lasted only a moment, thanks to our good Heavenly Mother who, at the first apparition, had promised to take us to Heaven. Without this promise, I think we would have died of fright."

Our Lady recalls to us so insistently: "Many are those who are lost and at the end of their life of sin they fall into this `ocean of fire' which is Hell."

"More souls go to Hell for sins of the flesh than for any other sins" — Our Lady of Fatima.

"Many marriages are not good; they do not please Our Lord and are not of God" — Our Lady of Fatima.

Lucy relates to us her conversation with Jacinta:

"'Jacinta, what are you thinking of?' Jacinta replied, 'About the war which will come. So many people will die, and almost all of them will go to Hell.'"

It is of utmost importance that each of us examine his FUNDAMENTAL ASSUMPTION. Is it in line with the Fatima Message? Is it in line with God's Word?

Do you believe many will go to Hell? Do you believe that only a few will go to Hell? Consequently, do you believe that you have only a very slight or absolutely no chance of going to Hell; or, that you have a chance of going to Hell?

Sister Lucy clearly and forcefully reassured Fr. Lombardi (Feb. 7, 1954) that MANY, not a few, would go to Hell forever. Little Jacinta, in her childlike way, also assured us that "MANY, MANY" would go to the eternal Hell.

Father Gruner holds the relics of several of the Saints which he was able to rescue in Lisbon. Recently St. Jerome, St. Augustine, St. Gregory the Great, St. Paul the Apostle as well as a number of other saints' relics were rescued from sacrilege and desecration. Today in Portugal the relics of too many saints are exposed to this danger because, unbelievably churches and monasteries are actually sending their relics of the Saints to antique shops to be sold to the general public. Already we have received reports that satanists, drug dealers, and others have purchased these relics for the express purpose of horribly desecrating them. Pray that these outrageous sales be stopped.

B. Be Consecrated to Mary

"You have seen Hell, where the souls of poor sinners go. To save them, God wishes to establish in the world, devotion to My Immaculate Heart" — Our Lady of Fatima.

"To those who will embrace this devotion to My Immaculate Heart, I promise salvation" — Our Lady of Fatima.

Jacinta said to me:

"Tell everybody that God grants us graces through the Immaculate Heart of Mary, that people are to ask Her for them; and that the Heart of Jesus wants the Immaculate Heart of Mary to be venerated at His side. Tell them also to pray to the Immaculate Heart of Mary for peace, since God has entrusted it to Her."

Our Lady of Fatima promised Lucy:

"You will never be alone. My Immaculate Heart will be your refuge and the way which will lead you to God."

Sister Lucy reports what Our Lord Himself said:

"I desire most ardently the propagation of the cult of the devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, because the love of this Heart attracts souls to Me; it is the center from which the rays of My light and My love go through all the earth, and the unquenchable fountain from which the living water of My mercy flows into the earth."

Our Lord told Sister Lucy:

"See, My daughter, the motive for which the Immaculate Heart of Mary inspired Me to ask for this little reparation, and in consideration of it, to move My mercy to pardon souls who have had the misfortune of offending Her. As for you, always seek by your prayers and sacrifices to move My mercy to pity of these poor souls."

Sister Lucy explained to Father Fuentes:

"The holy Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary are our two last recourses, and so this means there will be no others ... With a certain trepidation God offers us the final means of salvation, His Most Holy Mother."

C. How Do You Live this Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary?

In general, live a life of prayer, obedience, mortification and conversion (come to faith or grow in faith). This is the awesome Fatima challenge.

When the Blessed Virgin told her that soon she would leave for the hospital and that she would suffer much there, Jacinta said to her cousin:

"... I'll be there suffering all alone! I'll suffer for love of Our Lord, to make reparation to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for the conversion of sinners and for the Holy Father."

"I found Jacinta joyful as ever, glad to suffer for the love of Our Good God and of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, for sinners and the Holy Father. That was her ideal, and she could speak of nothing else."

"'Don't be afraid,' she told Lucy, 'in Heaven I'll be praying hard for you, for the Holy Father, and for all priests.'"

At Tuy, Our Lady discloses the following fact:

"So numerous are the souls which the justice of God condemns for sins committed against Me that I come to ask for reparation. Sacrifice yourself for this intention and pray."

Our Lady of Fatima gave us this awful warning and command:

"They must not continue to offend Our Lord, Who is already deeply offended ... Pray the Rosary every day to obtain peace for the world ... Pray, pray a great deal, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go to Hell because they have no one to make sacrifices and pray for them ..." Jesus said, "THE SACRIFICE I COMMAND OF EACH PERSON IS THE ACCOMPLISHMENT OF HIS OWN DUTY AND THE OBSERVANCE OF MY LAW."

"Jacinta would often sit on the ground or on a rock, and she would say, growing pensive: 'O, hell, hell! How sorry I am for the souls that go to hell! And the people who are there, being burned alive, like wood in a fire!' And she would kneel down, half trembling, with her hands joined, to recite the prayer Our Lady had taught us:  'O my Jesus, forgive us, deliver us from the fire of hell, lead all souls to Heaven, especially those who are most in need' ... And Jacinta would remain kneeling for a long time, repeating the same prayer."

Then, Sister Lucy asks:

"How is it that Jacinta, small as she was, let herself be possessed by such a spirit of penance and mortification, and understood it so well?"

"I think the reason is this: first, God willed to bestow on her a special grace, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary; and secondly, it was because she had looked upon hell, and had seen the ruin of souls who fall therein."

Sister Lucy asked Francisco:

"Francisco, which do you like better: to console Our Lord, or to convert sinners, so that no more souls go to Hell?"

"I would rather console Our Lord. Didn't you notice how sad Our Lady was that last month, when She said that people must not offend Our Lord any more, for He is already much offended? I would like to console Our Lord, and after that, convert sinners, so that they won't offend Him any more."

Lucy recalled about Jacinta:

"At times, she kissed and embraced a crucifix, exclaiming: 'O my Jesus! I love You, and I want to suffer very much for love of You!'

"How often did she say: 'O Jesus! Now you can convert many sinners, because this is really a big sacrifice!'"

D. A Special Way To Be Consecrated

Jesus told Sister Lucy:

"Have compassion on the Heart of your Most Holy Mother, covered with thorns, with which ungrateful men pierce It at every moment, and there is no one to make an act of reparation to remove them."

Then the Most Holy Virgin said:

"Look My daughter, at My Heart, surrounded with thorns with which ungrateful men pierce Me at every moment by their blasphemies and ingratitude. You at least try to console Me and announce in My name that I promise to assist at the moment of death, with all the graces necessary for salvation, all those who, on the first Saturday of five consecutive months shall confess, receive Holy Communion, recite five decades of the Rosary, and keep Me company for fifteen minutes while meditating on the fifteen mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of making reparation to Me."

In these dangerous times often think of Mary, and call upon Her as St. Bernard tells us to do.

Sister Lucy gave the following PEACE PLEDGE FORMULA:

Dear Queen and Mother, Who promised at Fatima to convert Russia and bring peace to all mankind, in reparation to Your Immaculate Heart for my sins and the sins of the whole world, I solemnly promise:

1) To offer up every day the sacrifices demanded by my daily duty;

2) To say part of the Rosary (five decades) daily while meditating on the mysteries;

3) To wear the Scapular of Mount Carmel as a profession of this promise and as an act of consecration to You. I shall renew this promise often, especially in moments of temptation.

E. The World and Some Members of the Church Become Ever More Demonic.

Our Consecration Becomes More Difficult and More Urgent:

Sister Lucy, in responding to a militantly orthodox priest, states:

"There is a diabolical disorientation invading the world and misleading souls! It is necessary to stand up to it; ... and, staying in my place, I pray for you and for all those who work with you.

Sister Lucy deplores the fact that so many pastors:

"let themselves be dominated by the diabolical wave invading the world," and are "blind men leading other blind men."

Sister Lucy reiterates her observation that we live in a time of extreme rottenness on the part of many people within the Church and within society:

"Foreseeing this [present] disorientation, the Virgin recommended recitation of the Rosary with such insistence as 'the prayer most apt for preserving faith in souls.' It is because She already knew that these times had to come, when the devil and his supporters would fight so much ... She armed us against this time of diabolic disorientation ... and false doctrines."

Sister Lucy deplores the great success that the devil is enjoying in our day. She also reminds us that the AWESOME FATIMA CONSECRATIONS can defeat him:

"The devil has succeeded in infiltrating evil under cover of good, and the blind are beginning to guide others as the Lord tells us in His Gospel, and souls are letting themselves be deceived.

"Gladly I sacrifice myself for priests and for all consecrated souls, especially for those who are so deceived and misled!

"This is why the devil has waged such a war against it! And the worst is that he has succeeded in leading into error and deceiving souls having a heavy responsibility through the place which they occupy ...! They are blind men guiding other blind men ..."
